green-park-house-interior-2-900x574Weekend ticket prices this year are as follows:

Full price – £80 | Concessions – £65

You can book your ticket through Bath Spa Live, here.

A symposium ticket will give full access to a packed weekend (Friday 19:00 – Sunday 19:00) of papers screenings and performance, and includes refreshments and lunch for both days of the symposium. Seeing Sound is intended, first and foremost, to foster a community of like-minded people, and draw them together around the symposium themes. With that in mind, we try to keep the cost of attending as low as possible. However, it is necessary to charge modest delegate fees to cover our costs. Seeing Sound remains non-profit making, with a substantial subsidy covered by Bath Spa University.

We are also offering tickets for the Saturday night performance only (price £10 / £8 concessions), available here (this is included in the full symposium ticket).

Finally, we are offering tickets for a symposium dinner (not included in the symposium ticket). This will take place at 18:30 on the Saturday. Tickets are priced (at cost to us) at £35 including drinks, and can be booked here.

This year, and for the first time, we are able to offer various accommodation options, as follows:

Newton Park Gardens (on site) – £60 per night

These are individual en-suite rooms, in townhouses of ten, with a shared kitchen/living space.

The rooms have fitted beds measuring 124cm x 194cm, we class this as a small double bed (or wide single). The bathrooms have a modern fitted en-suite with shower, wash basin and toilet. There is also a good-sized desk, fitted wardrobe and drawers and under-bed storage. They’re all fully accessible with ground-floor access.

Green Park, Standard Studio (central Bath) – £65 per night

These self-contained studios are also en-suite and each has a small kitchenette. Upper floors are accessible by lift.

Green Park, Deluxe Studio (central Bath) – £75 per night

As above, but these are larger (279 square foot) studios with a full double bed.

Note that our Newton Park campus (where Seeing Sound takes place) is a few miles out of the Bath City Centre. The Green Park accommodation is readily accessible from there by bus etc., but being resident on site in the Newton Park Gardens rooms will mean that everything for the full weekend is accessible on foot.

Rooms can be booked directly with our conferencing team. Please contact them with your requirements – conferencing[at]bathspa.ac.uk. More information on the accommodation can be seen here.

We are planning a symposium dinner on the Saturday night – tickets (price TBC) for this will also be available here shortly.
